Get a taste of the Wild West in beautiful Fort Laramie, Wyoming.
The Carnahan Ranch is located adjacent to the Fort Laramie National Historic Site, and was originally part of the Fort Laramie grounds. It was homesteaded in 1892. The Carnahans purchased the ranch in 1995. The ranch covers 2400 acres of lush meadows, streams, pine ridges, rolling hills and sandstone formations.
The Carnahan Ranch is a very special and unique place. It was the crossroads of a nation moving west. The great trails of the western expansion all crossed the ranch. Among those trails were the California Trail, Mormon Trail, Oregon Trail, Texas/Montana Cattle Trail, the Cheyenne/Deadwood Stage trail and the Overland Telegraph.
